The world champion is a contract with a contract with Red Bull until the end of 2028, but there is a Passover in his contract that can see him leaving under certain circumstances.
Britain, Russell, who had been with Mercedes before, and won two race last year, said he was confident that the team will adhere to it.
“We had a long -term relationship and confidence between each other and focus on returning Mercedes to the top and trying to win races and championships,” Russell said.
“Performance speaks, so on my part there is no pressure. I have no doubt about myself and everything is in place when the timing is right. We have larger fish at the present time, which brings us back to the top.”
Formula 1 changes its technical regulations for the next season, as it offers new bases for both cars and engines. This makes it difficult for any driver to predict any more competitive team since 2026.
Red Bull may have a greater state of uncertainty about it because it has established its own engine facility to build a new power unit for the next year in partnership with Ford.
Mercedes has been the standard group of F1 engines since the presentation of the current hybrid bases in 2014.
