Arsenal president Rene Slegs says that “the next step for women's football” is to get better stadiums after describing the legend of Gunners ib Wright the surface of Real Madrid playing as “shame”.
Wright made his well-known feelings during the Champions League quarter-final defeat in Arsenal 2-0 in Estadio Alfredo de Stefano.
Conditions deteriorate in Real Madrid's men's reserve home at a rapid rate, which makes football that flows freely for both sides.
Wright's criticism of social media came after complaints from Chelsea players and the ingenuity about the stadium for the Women's League Cup final in Kabri County in Derby last Saturday.
The former midfielder Saligers admitted that the wet and muddy conditions against Real Madrid played their role in defeating their team on Tuesday.
The return leg will be played at the Arsenal's emirates on March 26.
In response to a question about whether the main Bernabeu stadium should be used in the first stage, Slegers added: “I don't have to criticize.
“It is clear that it is a decision for the club and I am sure that UEFA is trying to create the best conditions for the championship. Of course, the weather is not always in our control.
“But I think we have seen two games recently as the stadium's conditions were not great and I think this is the next step to take women's football.”
“We have known the stadium. We talked about it with the players before the match,” added Slegers, who was appointed as a permanent coach of Arsenal messages in January after a wonderful temporary talisman.
“So we had a plan for that, but then it's always difficult because during one season and over time, you work on things and have an identity, the way you want to do.
“So the reality comes and these conditions come and suddenly you need to do things differently, and this is difficult.”
