Jude Trump number one world defeated Lee Lee Bevan, to create a quarter -finals against Sean Murphy in the players championship.
Trump from England produced a clinical show at the Telford showing table to win 6-2, with a turning point in the sixth frame when Lei missed what appears to be an easy shot to the 3-3 level.
Trump then benefited completely as he won the three tires for progress, with a break higher than 139.
Meanwhile, Murphy made a vibrant offer by his English teammate Barry Hawkins to win 6-4.
Hokinz fought from 3-0 to the match level in 4-4, but Murphy kept calm to accomplish the mission and closed victory with a comfort of 123.
Australian Neil Robertson will play Mark Silby in the last eight after he came from behind to win 6-4 against Stewart Bingham-Vapaz Man Robertson 10-0 in the final of the last World Grand Prix.
Silby in England – with the aim of winning his third title for this season – achieved rest periods from 132, 128 and 99 on his way to overcoming China Si Jiahui 6-3.
