Tsunuda said he was “the best situation ever” to first happen with Red Ball in the Japanese Grand Prix this week.
“I am really looking forward,” he said. “It cannot be crazy than this – the first race for the Red Bull race, but moreover, the BRICS at home.”
When asked about Red Paul's cruel dealing with Lawson, Tsunouda said: “For me, at least he was brutally enough when they chose Liam over me at the end of last season.
“We understand, I am sure that Liam understands, how the positions can change quickly within our structure.”
Tsunuda said he pushed Reed Bull in simulation and was confident that he could have a strong impression.
“I felt the car in simulation,” he said. “I'm sure he is not completely associated but he didn't feel crazy.”
Tsunoda said it was “great confidence” that he could do a good job.
He added: “I do not say that I have confidence in performance immediately like Max, but I have confidence that I can do something different from the other drivers who were in that car.
“If I have no confidence, I may stay so in the bull race. But I want to face a challenge.”
