NJ woman celebrating birthday identified as victim in Dominican Republic nightclub roof collapse

A woman in New Jersey, who celebrates her twenty -fourth birthday, was confirmed as one of the dead in the tragic roof at a Dominican Republican nightclub killed 225.

Her sister, Luz Contraras, stated that the body of Jennifer Contreras, from Passaic, was withdrawn from the ruins of the Jet Set group in Santo Domingo on Wednesday evening.

The Contraras was staying in the Dominican Republic, which was working on her accurate eyebrows so that she could work in her nail salon, Luzipouti, in New Jersey.

Her family shared that they were collecting money to return her body to the United States for a funeral ceremony.

“Given that the remains of Jennifer are in the Dominican Republic, the financial burden of logistical services, sexual services in both countries, and funeral services here in the United States have sparked pressure on us and our family at this difficult time,” Contraras added. “We ask you to pray and praise my sister and our family at this time.”

IGNACIO Douglas was on vacation in the Dominican Republic when she died in the collapse of the nightclub roof, according to a collective financing page that her mother, Jariel Ignacio.

Her mother wrote: “Violetta was full of joy, love and light, really the best of my mother that we could request,” her mother wrote. “She was also a love friend, aunt, her grandmother, and her sister who touched the lives of everyone around her.”
