While Rogers began attracting admiration from another place, Villa started to re -establish herself from the Premier League elite under Emery, who has worked as wonders since his replacement of Stephen Gerrard in late 2023.

After qualifying for the Champions League last season, Villa reached the quarter -finals before surrendering to Paris Saint -Germain. They are currently in the seventh place in the English Premier League, three points from the first five places with four games remaining.
Bruges was praised by Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola in the season after he dazzled the largest stage this season. Former Premier League champions Rogers gave the green light to move forward without the appearance of one team in the city.
Guardiola said: “He was in the second team, and sometimes training with us, and we can see something there. But the effect that he had in a villa, what a player, had an exceptional player here, at all,” Guardiola said.
