In November 2023, Talbert HBCU Next was launched, a fellowship program that brings ambitious filmmakers from colleges and black universities historically to the summer program at the Film Arts College (SCA). He imagined and funded HBCU next to his wife and productive partner Lin Cyon Talbert as an opportunity to enrich the educational experience of colored students. Within the program, the participants acquire professional visions and creative skills to develop original images of black experiences and culture within the script writing, filmmaking and landscapes of advanced media.
