Captain Maru Etoji says England should control their emotions to help “create a new story” in the history of the Calcutta Cup when they face Scotland on Saturday.
Scotland targets a record consecutive victory over England when the two sides renew their competition in a “very huge” match at Allianz.
England has not surpassed the Gregor Townsand team since its victory in 2020 in Morafeld and has not won in Tokkenham since 2017.
Duhan van der Meroy, one of the greatest championship at all at the latest visit in Scotland, scored to Tuekkenham, and he continued with a trilogy in the victory of last year.
But the Steve Portoic team goes to this weekend match with their hopes of their title alive-as it is preferred-after its 26-25 victory, which enhances the morale over France before the tournament.
“We are not happy with our history of talking against Scotland,” Itoji told BBC Sport. “This is an opportunity to create a new story and narration.
“All games were the same as disturbing and painful.
“From our point of view, we need to make sure that our mentality is correct first and foremost, and we need to make sure that we have a level of accuracy and implementation that allows us to take opportunities upon their arrival.”
Saturns lock is enthusiastic and passionate on the field, which is often seen when his team wins the sanctions.
He wants his team to be “full of passion”, but he does not want “blind passion” because he says that he can affect the accuracy of the team.
“Do not want blind anger and do not want to get angry, and hit you, but you need some of that,” said the 30 -year -old.
“Rugby is not a brute force game alone, you need accuracy and you need to get composer to determine space and implementation.
“The rugby game is an emotional game. In my humble opinion, it is a game that requires more emotion than most other sports because of the nature of what we do.
“This is a very huge game. It's a great opportunity to change the narration there and return England to win the Calcutta Cup.”
