Prince Friedrich, the younger son of Prince Robert of Luxembourg and Princess Jolie from Nassu, left behind a permanent legacy after his death at the age of 22 this month.
The royal beloved died on the first of March of mitochondria in Bulg – a rare genetic disorder that affects one out of almost every 5,000 people.
Genetic disorder affects the devices of multiple organs and mitochondria, and the energy production parts of the cells.
Friedrich was diagnosed with the disease at the age of fourteen after incurring symptoms for years.
In 2022, Friedrich founded Polg, an organization looking for disease and looking for a treatment.
Despite his short life, the prince was able to create an inspiring legacy through his institution, whose father pledges to continue his son's name.
Prince Robert, 56, said of his late son: “He was hardly able to speak for several days, so the clarity of these words was surprising like the moment of the moment was deep.”
“Friedrich knows that he is a superhero, as with all our family members, many good friends, and now in a large part thanks to his Polg Foundation, to many people around the world.”
Despite his healthy battle, Frederick worked tirelessly to raise awareness of the disease in a desperate attempt to help others.
Then he joined the forces with the designer Donna Karan to develop the Meto clothing line, and sell the elements through his Polg Foundation to increase awareness and money.
In addition, Frederick participated in the medical experiments that helped develop cell lines to search in Switzerland, the United States and Europe.
His proud father said that his work laying the foundation for the Polg Tool Tool box, a decisive resource for scientists.
“The Polg Foundation has completed in just three short years, many, including financing four main research projects, totaling $ 3.6 million,” said Robert, the first cousin in Grand Duke Henry from Luxembourg.
Meanwhile, Frederick's mother, Princess Jolie, had an effective role in the tasks of the scientific community to progress in research.
Despite his struggles, Frederick saw his illness as a gift and an opportunity to help others.

Speaking about his son's last moments, Robert revealed that Frederick's last question was, “Baba, are you proud of me?”

Robert added that his son's mission to raise awareness of the disease will continue through his organization.
He said: “With the help of our superhero, we hope to turn our deep sadness into positive results and follow its fixed example.”
