The Liverpool coach, ARNE Slot, described a loss in the Champions League on penalty shootout against Paris Saint Ferman as “the best football game that you participated in”, although his team comes out of the competition as a result.

After losing last week's match 1-0 in Paris, visitors settled an ANFIELD tie thanks to the Oumane Dembele strike in the twelfth minute.

Liverpool had a lot of opportunities to score themselves, but the game went to an additional time and decided on a war kick, as the Paris Saint-Germain Gianluigi Donnaroma from Darwin Nunez and Cortis Jones saved him before he released his desire for 4-1.

“It was the best football game that I have ever participated,” said Slot on Amazon Prime.

“It was an incredible performance, especially if you compared it last week. Maybe luck because the margins were very small.

“We played the ideal game, except for scoring a goal. It was similar to Paris last week, when they played the ideal game and they did not score. Then in extra time, they may have been a little better.”

A defeat leaves Liverpool with a domestic double play for.

With 15 points at the top, all REDs are sure to win the Premier League, while they face Newcastle in the Carabau Cup final in Wembley on Sunday.

“We were in good condition and wanted to go to the maximum extent, but we knew when we drew Paris that it would be very difficult,” the Liverpool captain Virgil van Dyck admitted.

“In Paris, we struggled but we won. Today we saw a very good team in Liverpool, but we are out of competition.”

The left back of Scotland, Andy Robertson, said that the focus will be transformed into Newcastle now as he added: “We were not supposed to be and we need to bleed ourselves. We always wear, there are many tired legs there. The cup finals, we enjoy it, and this is the largest game.”

Paris Saint -Germain Luis Enrique felt that Liverpool is lucky, as he said: “Both teams deserve to go to the next stage.

“They played better than us here, but I think my team in Anfield, in a private stadium, showed a great character and character.

“I think it clearly shows the team we are.”
