Wayfair opens a new new store in Atlanta, Georgia.
The online retailer announced primarily that it will open another actual store in the country on Atlanta.
The site is the former Walmart site in the region on Howell Mill, which was closed in 2023.
The official opening date has not been announced yet, but the company said that this will happen at some time in 2026.
“This sprawling area will provide 150,000 square feet, an overwhelming and arduous shopping destination for furniture, home decoration, household items, devices and the basics of improving homes-all designed to inspire and raise every home, through all patterns and budgets,” Wayeer said in a press statement.
Wayfair describes itself as “the destination for all things at home.”
The company says it aims to provide customers with an experience similar to what they can find on the application or website.
“At the heart of our retail strategy, we are committed to providing customers with a smooth shopping experience, whether online or in the store,” said Liza Lefkowski
Atlanta will serve as a large brand, after Wayfair opened its first financial site last year in Illinois.
“We are pleased to bring a unique shopping experience to the Atlanta metro area,” said Levkovsky.
“We will provide customers with wide choices for all methods and budgets, with our wide catalog that was brought in an ambitious and easy -to -use shopping experience makes discovering the ideal pieces without effort.”
The company's first store in Wilmet, Illinois, achieved calm success, according to the company.
Sales in Illinois grew more than 15 % faster than the rest of the country in general, between the release of the store and the end of 2024.
“The excitement has exceeded the first store in Welmat expectations – from crowded shopping carts in the store, to bus tours from the neighboring states,” Levkovsky said.
“It was amazing to see the enthusiasm for Wayfair personally and we cannot wait to bring the same energy to Atlanta.”
The store style will combine retail convenience online and the store, and offers elements that can be purchased and brought home on that day, and some can be shipped from distribution centers.
The new store is located near the Wayfair Center in McDono, Georgia, providing fast charging.
Fraser Gowl and Penton Green of the retail planning company facilitated the rental treatment for the new building.
The property is jointly owned by Jol Deter Property Trust, a section of Lasalle Investment Management Global Real Estate Investment, and Selig Enterprises, a real estate development company run by a family with 108 years in Atlanta.
Wayfair has registered $ 11.9 billion of net revenue for the year ending December 31, 2024, based in Boston, Massachusetts, with operations all over the world.
