Kushing released his full -time emotions, wandering around an air stadium with a cheerful smile on his face clapping the supporters.
He remained again to absorb praise while singing the “Blue Moon” and chanted “The city, the city, the city.”
Former city midfielder Easie Christiansen described it as “Tactical Master” of Kushing, but he insists that the foundations were laid, and he is about belief.
“For me, it was about making sure that we could compete against the best teams. To win prizes, you have to overcome the best,” Kushing said.
“We must be a threat at every stage of the game and we have this existence. It is the way you win tight and critical games.”
City imposed itself early on possession and control, but the momentum swings throughout the first strained half.
Cushing changed the formations in the second half, moved from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2, and the edema-another time to the shape after returning from knee surgery in January-alternative to a major effect.
He called for courage and confidence from his team after his defeat in the cup final, and Medima believes that they had delivered it.
“The Nights of the Champions League were at a very special air stadium so far, so I am really happy because we won,” Medima told BBC Sport.
“You always want to start, but I am not in a position where I can play four minutes from 90 minutes in a row. We need to be smart.
“[Cushing] Really wants us to play forward and bear the risks. Sometimes we really did it really well. We hope that we can move it to another level on Sunday and Thursday. ”
