George Foreman, boxing champion and George Foreman Grill Mogul. It was 76.

His family announced on Instagram that the heavy world champion in the 2x world, which was known as George Foreman, died “peace on Friday” surrounded by loved ones.

“Our hearts are broken. With deep sadness, we announce the death of the beloved George Edward Foreman, who left peacefully on March 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones,” they announced in his profile on Instagram. “A religious preacher, a loyal husband, a loving father, a great and proud found, lived a life characterized by fixed faith, humility and purpose.

“Humanity, Olympic, and twice the heavyweight hero in the world, was a deep respect – strength for good, a man of discipline, condemnation, and the protector of his legacy, fighting tirelessly to preserve his good name – to his family.

The Foreman family added: “We are grateful for the flow of love and prayers, and we ask gently about privacy and we honor the exceptional life of a man we used to call it.”

Born in January 10, 1949 in Marshall, Texas, where she acquired amateur boxing in 1967 before winning a gold medal in the heavyweight section the following year at the Summer Olympics. After he became a professional, he won the heavyweight title in 1973. Foreman lost Muhammad Ali during their iconic tears in the forest match in 1974.

After his retirement in 1977, Foreman returned to boxing in 1994 and became the oldest world heavyweight champion in history at the age of 46. Boxing retired forever in 1997, before entering the world and international boxing halls and became an analyst in Ringside to cover HBO boxing.
