Her husband, Keith Babini, presented the divorce and the custody of their children immediately.

Later in the year, the deal to acknowledge guilt and confessed to her guilt on a fraud through the mail and the charge of lying to a federal officer.

It was sentenced to 18 months in prison, but it was issued in 2023 after about 11 months behind bars.
