Kitty Dukakis, the wife of the presidential candidate in 1988 Michael Dukakis, died at the age of 88.
Her family said that the activist and humanity died on Friday night at her home in Brooklyn, Massachusetts, after complications with dementia.

Dukakis, in particular, was in support of electrical therapy, after using it to overcome alcohol and depression.
She was the first lady in Massachusetts while her husband had held the position of state ruler.
Her husband was the candidate for the Democratic Party against George Harbush Bush in 1988, but he lost in a landslide.
