The competition was about 40 minutes late due to a problem in technology that raises the tape.

Once resumed, Caudrey exceeded 4.70 meters – but she could not avoid hunting the tape on its way down in its attempts by 4.75 meters, although it has a significant increase.

“I am really disappointed – I wanted to go out here after last year and to do something and know that I am in good condition to do something,” Koderi told BBC Sport.

“But this competition was very difficult. There were many problems and we were waiting for nearly an hour at some point.

“I don't blame a lot of blame for myself. I don't say that I could not wipe this next tape because I think I have three good attempts.

“I feel some flat, to be honest, after that.”

Caudrey failed to qualify for the Olympic final last summer, despite entering Paris 2024 as one of the favorite candidates after a penetration season as she broke Holly Bradchu's national record with a cellar of more than 4.92 million.

Egency to use this disappointment to feed the pursuit of more major titles, Caudry began a promising start for 2025 by scanning 4.85 million in February.

She made the decision to miss Europeans inside two weeks ago to focus on her defense of the title here while she was running a slight injury in the calf, but she would now determine her attention on an attempt to the gold medal in the World Championship in Tokyo in September.
