Artists who work on the BBC internal TV productions are scheduled to get higher salaries because the company has entrusted a new agreement with UK Active Equity.

The agreement was announced this afternoon after the stock members voted to ratify the changes.

The deal, which comes into effect from April 7, will witness a 13 % increase in accidental performance fees, in addition to increasing other costs such as production day payments and additional work fees. There will also be a 10 % increase to minimal weekly fees.

In addition to increased wages, the agreement includes new provisions on bullying and harassment, reducing environmental impact, and best practices related to testing style.

“Through this agreement, the BBC offers vital obligations to our members that their work experience will be safe and dignified,” the stock TV official said in a statement.

The BBC TV agreement covers only artists working on the BBC inner drama, comedy and children's production such as Eastteners, victims, doctor isAnd A silent witness. The agreement covers actors, walking, supporters, dancers, performance artists, dolls and singers.

Other main additions to the agreement include penalties for the BBC's late royalties, the rulings of the participation of minors, and the inclusion of intimate relationship managers when products work on scenes of intimate nature.

Parker added that it is important to “secure a significant increase in paying in this round of negotiations” in order to “reduce the pressure that our members faced on their salaries over several years of high inflation.”

She added: “The inclusion of obligations from the BBC to prevent and address bullying, harassment and new requirements to employ managers of the intimate relationship of scenes of an intimate nature that puts the dignity and safety of workers' performance in the forefront and the center.”
