Kevin McCloud returns to Grand Designs for a new season, which includes new ambitious construction projects. But he will visit another site, he left incomplete two years ago.
Kevin McCloud is scheduled to reconsider the incomplete construction site next season of Grand Designs, after years of crisis.
Lieutenant -Colonel, 65, returns the head of Channel 4 to the 26 series, where he tours some of the most ambitious and unconventional houses in the United Kingdom. But this series is also an opportunity for Keven Mccloud to catch up with Grame and Melanie.
In late 2023, the couple carried out the major designs in the hope of building a new pink house for their mixed families, after losing each of their partners.
Mail and Graim bought a small conspiracy in Hukni, and cancer to build their daughters' bedrooms, ILA and Indi, on the basement and living areas on the top floor.
However, while things were a good start, the couple quickly realized that they were on their heads and ran out of money, forcing them to leave their new house incomplete.
Things have changed dramatically since their first appearance in the show – Mail and Graim will give an expected update to their new home.
“They have finished it now,” says Kevin. “It was always terrifying for them, but returning to see the final building is always a great reward and great privilege. It is the embodiment of a trip.”
“Thinking about the factors that can leave a project in the scale,” added Kevin. People are always worried about money. “
Mel and Grame's Pink House was not the only project that ended in a low note. Another real estate – from the Grand Designs project ever had ever been twice in the show, leaving its former owner Edward Short from his pocket. The project led to the collapse of his marriage.

Although some buildings do not reach finish, the success of Grand Designs was a pleasant surprise for Keven. “The longevity is something rare in a shortcut,” he says. “I still have a job. It is amazing after all this time. “
This last series – which will be followed by another broadcast later this year – brings more leading buildings, which includes homeowners ready to take time, money and rationality to create something great.
Among the most striking projects, a floating house designed by the new expatriate Sarah, an innovative building that re -connects its passengers to nature.
Kevin says: “It is like the space ship, it is a building that responds to the universe,” says Kevin, says, “The wind blows on its side and pushes it, raises it from the mud and declined again twice a day – it is driven by the sun and the moon.”
But even after decades of watching bold ideas formed, Kevin was at first skeptical. “We continued to take a good word because we did not think that the boat would be enough,” says Kevin. “But there are always buildings that are surprised because they are designed differently.”
Another prominent story is a 82 -year -old widow who begins an emotional trip to build a new house on the memory of her late architect. After decades in a humble house in the thirties of the twentieth century in North London, she assigned the assistance of young architect James to create a new house.
“She clung to satiety, but she is completely different,” excites Kevin, “It is really related to exploring what the building can do in old age. I like to see everything through her eyes.”
