Gdańsk is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities of Poland – and it is just a two -hour trip away from the United Kingdom

This amazing European city is both in appreciation and budget. You may not coincide with it, but Gdansk in Poland is one of the oldest and scenic cities in the country, and it is just a short journey from the United Kingdom. This city of Bahr Baltic is famous for its vibrant buildings and its gravel streets in the Old City, which will leave you in a state of terror with its architectural engineering in the Dutch style.

Ghadangsk has a rich history as an important member of the Hanschic Association, a strong coalition of marine cities that had a decisive role in forming the economy of the northern Europe. In 1939, the city was the starting point for World War II and suffered catastrophic damage, with 90 % of its center, including the main city, were destroyed.

After the war, Gdansk gradually rebuilt and restored its historical effects. During the communist era, the city played a fundamental role in combating the system, as the protests in 1970 led to the death of many population, and the formation of the solidarity movement in 1980, led by Lech Wałęsa.
