RB Leipzig, Marco Rose, dismissed the main coach after the Bundesliga defeat 1-0 by Borussia Monchengladbach and Zsolt Low as a temporary president.
Rose, 48, leaves two and a half years after Leipzig, who is sixth in the German league table.
Lee, who worked as the assistant director of Thomas Tuchille in Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Ferman, replaces Rose until the end of the season.
Leipzig won three of the past 11 Bundesliga games, but it is at least three points than the rehabilitation places in the Champions League with seven games remaining.
They are also playing in the semi -finals of the German Cup on Wednesday against Stuttgart.
Former Liverpool Director Jurgen Klopp is currently working in the Red Ball Group as President of World Football.
Speaking in January, Klopp said, “I will not be the coach of the Red Bull team,” in the event of an opportunity.
“We have believed in cooperation with Marco and his team for a very long time, and so far, everything has tried to turn things together,” said Marcel Shepher, Managing Director of Lybzig, said.
“Given the constant development and lack of results, we are all strongly convinced that we need a new driving force for the rest of the campaign in order to achieve our goals for this season.”
