The AMC Entertainment Film Circuit tops the addition of 40 new Dolby Cinema halls to its mark in the United States by 2027.
The new sites are the expected result of guiding a partnership announced on Monday with the start of Cinemacon in Las Vegas. The expansion follows the news earlier this month that AMC plans to add Screenx and 4dx theaters to its American wallet for the first time. Dolby Cinema combines an immersive Dolby Atmos sound and a super -image quality.
The new Builds will bring the total number of DOLBY from AMC to 200, as the new 40 is 25 % increase at the current levels.
Exhibitions and their partners are increasingly investing in specialized and large formatting forms of cinema, which were excessive in the box office. IMAX, an AMC partner, had a long time, a 2024 sign, even at a time when the total theatrical theatrical outskirts were disposed of due to the 2023 strikes, competition from flow, window -release transformations and other factors. Likewise, Dolby Cinema recorded its best aesthetics ever last year, and broke the previous mark that was identified in 2023.
“Excellent films determine the modern box office,” said Kevin Yiman, President and CEO of Dolby Laboratories. “By expanding our long partnership with AMC, we look forward to providing more fans by reaching the most overwhelming film experiences that you can only get in Dolby Cinema.”
“A decade ago, AMC and Dolby cinema pioneers presented great experiences – making the biggest big, brighter, higher and more immersive.” “The expansion of this partnership is a strong evidence of AMC's continuous commitment to presenting this distinguished experience – which film makers, studio partners and our guests are looking for – for more theaters and AMC films throughout the United States.”
