West Indies cricket: Kraigg Brathwaite steps down as Test captain

Kraigg Brathwaite stepped as a test leader for the West India Islands three years later in this role.

The 32 -year -old team captain will hand over an unveiled alternative to the three -match test in Australia in Caribbean in June and July.

Brathwaite took over the team in March 2021, which led to its victory in the home chain against England in 2022 and won a test in Australia for the first time in 27 years in 2024.

Its team ranked eighth in the latest world championship ranking, and the opening mixture is now aside at the beginning of a new tournament.

The West India Islands will also have a new leader in T20S, with the replacement of Shai Hope Rovman Powell.

Hope, 31, who has already led the West Indies in the International one day, will take responsibility for the first time in six T20s in England and Ireland in June.

Powell had led the T20 team since 2023, and won a chain at home against India, England and South Africa.
