Newcastle defender Fabian Sar extended his contract at the club until the summer of 2026.
The Switzerland International joined Magpies from the Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna in July 2018.
Sher, 33, presented 221 games in all competitions for Newcastle, and recently helped them win the Carabao Cup, the first local Cup for the club since the FA Cup was raised in 1955.
His previous deal was appointed to end at the end of June.
“It was very few weeks for everyone in Newcastle after winning the Carabao Cup, and I am really happy now to sign another contract with this amazing club,” said Shar said.
33 times for Newcastle played this term, with the Fifth Club in the Premier League and challenges a place in the Champions League next season.
“Fabian was great in my club. In addition to his performance on the field, he showed a great position in the group,” added Newcastle coach.
“The pulses of the club's season's pulses have been so far, and it will remain a major player for us and we are striving to finish the table as possible.”
