John Higgins booked his place in the final of the round championship by beating 10-7 against Barry Hawkins in Manchester.

With the closure of grades at 4-4 at the end of the afternoon session, Higgins took control of the competition in the evening with three-century breaks from 144, 130 and 107.

The 144 Scot Break in the twelfth framework was the top of the championship and Hawkins was unable in England, who left Trump's quality first in the quarter -finals.

Higgins, 49, will face the winner of the second semi -finals between Englishman Mark Silby and Chinese China's Best Frame on Sunday.

“In another final and I am completely pleased,” Hegzs told ITV.

“Barry was controlling this afternoon, but I felt tonight that I got the table correctly and felt satisfied there. It was great.

“I haven't been good enough in the past few years, so I should enjoy it when I arms.”
