“Over time, I saw a fixed corrosion of the principles we promised.
“Decisions are made behind closed doors, bypassing the same structures and the people in FIA to present.”
Red's resignation follows the changes in FIA laws in the last general assembly of FIA, which opponents described as a “worrying focus of power” and a decrease in accountability.
The Red movement also comes after the President of Motorsportuk David Richards wrote an open letter to the members of the organization accused of “the conversion of the moral compass.”
FIA was contacted to comment.
The differences that were involved in Ben Sulaim included his views on women, his approach to F1, the separation of a number of higher figures amid questions about the president's office and other concerns, and the ruling changes regarding the behavior of F1 drivers and allegations of the violations in the PRIX grandson, which have been excluded since then.
A lawsuit against FIA is also filed by Suzy Wolf, director of the F1 Academy for young drivers and Mercedes -F1 wife, Toto Wolf.
WOLFF lawsuits follow a lawsuit in Wolfs that was launched and abandoned within two days in December 2023.
Ben Sulaim State ends this year and is re -elected in December. Until now, he is not opposed, but it is said that there is at least a potential opponent who is preparing for the campaign.
Reed said his resignation “is not related to the characters; rather, it is related to principles.”
“Motorsport deserves the leadership and transparency of the organs,” he said.
“The final violation of the trust and legal procedures” that led to his resignation was a recent decision to establish the strengthening of the World Championship, Ralacros, without the approval of the Senate or the World Council.
Reed said this procedure “could carry legal risks under the European Union's competition law.”
The decision corresponds to a previous commitment by the FIA World Motorsport Council that all world championships will have external promoters, profitable and have a strategic action plan.
It also contradicts the FIA and F1 agreement in 2001 regarding the F1 World Championship, which FIA has agreed to attract itself from commercial interests in its events to avoid conflicting interests.
