A woman photographed a terrifying incident of Immigration and Customs customers (ICE), whose car window crashed on Monday amid a disturbing Trump administration campaign for immigrants and asylum seekers.
Marilu Mendez of Massachusets NBC reported that immigration agents were raising her and her husband before they brought her car. At this stage, she decided to start registering the meeting on her phone.
Marylo revealed to the news port that the agents were primarily interested in her husband, Juan, but they were mistakenly noting that he was Antonio – another resident name in their building. They were convinced that this was a state of wrong identity, Marcelo immediately called her lawyer, who advised the couple to stay in the car and refrain from providing the agents with any information until its arrival.
Their legal actor, ONENAD Galvies, NBC10 Boston that her client, Juan Mendes, is an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, who is currently working in changing his position in immigration. Snifin assured the station that Mendes has no criminal record while he is in the country asking asylum.
However, the ice agents seemed not interested in waiting for SNIFIN to reach the scene of the accident and chose to take extremist measures to extract the family from the car. As shown in the video, the agents can be seen practicing what appears to be a large hammer tool to destroy the car window and remove the couple from the car by force.
“They looked for a hammer, broke the car window, and we pulled us out of the car,” Marcelo told Telemundo Nueva Inglaterrara in Spanish. “Three agents of the ice were detained. They brought us out unfairly … I tried to talk to them and ask them if they had an order to detain him. They did not respond to anything.
“They had no reason to detain it. We have followed the rules of this country. We are doing things in the right way. For this reason we have a lawyer.”
SNIFFIN now revealed that Juan Mendez is being held at the ice center in Dover, New Hampshire, with his hearing on May 7.
