“You will have to carry me for a little longer.”

On Wednesday, Ang Postecoglou admitted that “no idea” will remain in a job in the wake of the fourth round in the European League match to Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, after winning 1-0 on Thursday in Germany, Tottenham is taking place to the semi-finals against Budo/Ghulatat Norway and has a first cup 17 years ago in their eyes.

“Our fans have experienced a difficult time. We hope that this will give them something to look forward to,” said Boskoglu, whose team was in Tottenham in the fifteenth in the Premier League.

“I am the same coach that I was yesterday. The players have never lost faith. People love to make fun of my accomplishments and reduce them, but I will leave that there.

“I don't care, does not bother me, does not affect what I do. For me, it is always related to the dressing room. Do players believe? Do employees believe?

“This is much more important than others might make than me.

“So, unfortunately for many of you, you will have to carry me for a little longer.”

Although he was on their way to the lowest level in the Premier League, which was appointed in 1994, Busquoglu said he had not lost any confidence in his players and felt that his players remained believed in him.

“They were very united in believing in what we are trying to achieve here,” the Australian director said. “This is what gave me the heart all the time if we get a slice of luck in terms of restoring some players [from injury]I really thought this team could achieve it. This is what keeps my leadership.

“Not at any stage I felt they lost any belief in me or what we do. This is very important when you face a difficult season, but there is also a season of opportunities there.”
