The Pope's successor will be chosen by Conclave in an old and secret process that has not changed for hundreds of years.
This comes after the death of Pope Francis, 88, who told assistants that he was “preparing” for the end after he was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs.

The role of the head of the Catholic Church is usually taken over by the elected cardinal until his death, which is announced through ancient smoke signals.
Pope Francis was wiped in 2013 when he took the position of Pope Benedict XVI, who retracted the role due to health aid in an incredibly rare step.
Then some adjustments were made to the caliphate process, but in general, the system of pebble has not changed over 1000 years and will be used again to choose the successor of Francis.
The death of the Pope must be confirmed by the doctor, and they are only approved by Camerlengo, the head of the Pope's pillars.
They call the name of the Pope three times, and the Pope's head usually calls for a silver hammer.
If these calls and procedures are not answered, death will be announced and senior church officials, especially the Cardinal MP of the Diocese of Rome.
The audience will hear about the death of the Pope by seeing the black smoke known as Fumata Nera coming out of a chimney in the Sistin Church.
The Pope's episode, the fisherman's loop, is burned after removing and crushing it by Camelengo who will close an apartment, his desk, and cut phone wires.
The sacred flavor decision will be revealed later through chimney smoke.
But first, there is a period of mourning during which the papal vacancies were declared by the Vatican known as SEDE VACANTE or “vacant seat.”
The mourning period usually lasts for nine days, and the Pope's funeral is usually held between the fourth and sixth day, where it is traditionally buried in the Church of St. Peter.
The flavor and right to confidentiality
Then the ritual election of the new Pope, which is shrouded in secret, begins.
The democratic process sees multiple rounds of voting by Cardinals under the age of 80 years who make up flavor.
This continues until a clear successor is chosen through consensus.
All Cardinals around the world are called to Rome for Conclave, with 138 out of 252 currently qualified to vote with the Venangal Times times called “the most powerful voters in the world.”
Since 1492, the Popy was conducted in the Sistin Church, where they were traditionally closed until a decision is made.
Now, this is done in Domus Sanctae Marthae adjacent to the St. Peter's Basilica, but all votes are still inside the Sistine Church.
All Cardinals are taken inside to the oath from the secrecy, where they are isolated from the outside world and the building is washed away for listening devices to protect the sanctity of the old process.

Any external connection or leaks will lead to the expulsion of the church.
The locked tradition that gives Conclave its name, which means in Latin “with the key”, is 1268.
This process is so strict that until 2005, the Cardinals were forced to sleep in a solid family in temporary cells with toilet room utensils.
Pope John Paul II improved matters by building Domus Sanctae Marthae, a five -storey guesthouse.
In order for the Pope to be elected, he must get two -thirds of the vote, and all cardinal vote has equal value.
The candidates are not officially required to be Pontif only to be Catholic and male, but for centuries, they were chosen until after they reached the rank of Cardinal.
There is no end to the age with Francis assuming the role in 76 and his predecessor Benedict was 78.
Candidates are not permitted to have a public campaign for this role even though the BBC stated that it is “still a very political process.”
While the Cardinate is said to be “guided by the Holy Spirit”, the flavor is also affected by the factions and gatherings that enhance the positions of the candidates, according to the BBC.
Signs of voting and smoke
When Conclave begins, the advantages of each candidate in secret and voting begin as all cardinal writes their choice on a piece of paper in convincing hand writing.
This is folded into two halves and placed in a jar in the altar one by one where they are mixed and opened and are calculated by three Cardinals who were randomly chosen to be sacred.
The third volatile sews the calculated voices that are burned after that.
This voting process continues until a clear decision is made, while allowing the crusher in the past only one meal per day in an attempt to accelerate the process if it continues for more than three days.
Other five days after there is no decision, the cherry was given bread and water only.
A relatively new base states that after 12 days of voting, the candidate can win by 50 percent in addition to the majority of one vote.

Polling cards are held twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon, and they are all burned in the stove in the Sistine Church with black smoke appearing to show that the decision has not yet taken.
This smoke is now made with the help of chemicals after some confusion was seen in previous years, as it took some time to convert black.
Noting that the new Pope was elected when the white smoke or the Bianca Foama appears from the Sistin Church church along with the bell ringing.
It is not clear when these rituals began, but it was constantly used to announce the new Pope at least 1878.
The new Pope was announced
Then, Brigadier Cardinal is asked that if the elected Pope accept the situation and then mention the name they will take when they become the Pope.
This saint or the former Pope you want to honor is usually inspired.
Then the new ink enters the room of the tears inside the Sistine Church, where it is said that they are drowned in the emotion that he cries – hence the name.
Then they wear clothes and prepare to salute the world on the balcony on the Church of St. Peter, which overlooks 100,000 people in Saint Peter Square.
Erard is prepared of pre -sizes by papal sewing.
The three combinations of clothes include small, medium and large casock, white silk scarf, white zucchetto (Skullcap), red leather shoes and red velvet mositta or Capelite with Ermine.
The Pope will wear on his own, wearing a golden chest cross and stole a red embroidered before appearing on the balcony.
It seems that Brigadier Cardinal first announces “Habeumus Papum” saying: “I announced with great joy, we have a new door.”
Then the new Pope appears on the balcony to give his first blessing known as Urbi Et Orbi “to the city and the world.”
