WWE Acquires Leading Mexican Lucha Libre Promotion AAA

WWE, part of the TKO group, has been led by Mexican Lucha Libre Promotion AAA in partnership with the Mexico -based sports and entertainment company.

Las Vegas was announced during the weekend during Wrestlemania 41 Saturday Countdown Offer with the chief WWE Paul Levisk, Velibib Alberto Vasaga President, Marisella Benia from AAA, Dorian Roldan Benia, along with talents including WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio and El Hijo Del Vikingo.

Financial details have not been revealed.

AAA was founded in 1992 by Antonio Peña, and it was a family -run company for more than 30 years, with some of the greatest talents in the history of Lucha Libre, including Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio and Penta, describing AAA home throughout their career. The Benia family will continue to participate in the next chapter of AAA work alongside WWE and Fillip.

“AAA has a rich cultural heritage with some of the most passionate fans in the world, and the honor of honoring the Benia family to start this trip,” Levisk said. “By combining WWE's global capabilities and amazing AAA traditions, we look forward to an exciting future full of new opportunities.”

“AAA was a family -run promotional offer for more than three decades, and it could not be our confidence in a better position than one of the largest sports entertainment companies in the world,” said AAA Manag0er Dorian Roldán Peña.

The deal is expected to be closed in the third quarter awaiting the usual approvals.

The new partners also announced that the incident of the collision of their common worlds will start on June 7 at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles with WWE & AAA stars.
