Luis Hamilton has struggled to adapt to Ferrari in his first year with the team, but his teammate Charles Licerirk continues to influence, leaving Scuderia with a headache
Ferrari has been warned that any attempt to help Luis Hamilton find his shape could have a negative impact on his teammate Charles Licerk. Hamilton has a difficult year with Scuderia, as it ended in the first five places once so far this season.
He won the enemy's race in China, but then he was excluded from the grand prize race this week. In contrast, Leclerc ranked fourth twice and handed over a great campaign to return home in third place in the Grand Prix in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
Ferrari will be desperate to see Hamilton's shape turning a corner after she handed over the world champion seven times the assignment of the abundance. Although Leclerc is seen as the future world champion and given that he is only 27 years old, Ferrari's face is scheduled for many years to come.
This has led to the former Williams star Juan Pablo Monteoya to warn the leaders of Scuderia against doing a lot to change the car. Monoya highlighted the difficulties of Sergio Perez in Red Ball, who preferred Max Versaben over the Mexican.
Versappen was largely happy with his car during Perez's period with the team, but the Mexican struggled strongly to adapt. Montoya believes that a similar problem can affect Ferrari if they do a lot to hand the Hamilton the car he wants.

“Lewis Hamilton is hitting himself because he does not do, but he is uncomfortable. I think everyone is working hard to make him comfortable. But as a result is that she really focuses on making Lewis comfortable, they will face problems with Charles in the long run,” MonToya said.
“Look at Max. Every time Max is really fast, his colleague is miles away. When his colleague is soon, they are not so quickly. It is not competitive. Look at Checo.
“Two years ago, when Checo started the season well, people thought that drivers would play it in the tournament. But when they finally made the car good enough for Max, Checo could not drive.
“I think Ferrari may pass the same thing. While they develop the Lewis car, to make it comfortable, all of these things will settle Charles's performance. So it will be interesting to see to what extent will Ferrari go out of making Lewis comfortable.”
While Ferrari warned against going away to Hamilton's style, Monteoya believes that the team needs to do something to help the British. He highlighted Hamilton's ratios as a cause of pressure for adaptation.
He added: “I really thought that Ferrari would have something in this season. We were all excited to find out the extent of the voltage that Ferrari made through Lewis's presence in the car. We all expected a magic Ferrari this year and did not happen.”
“You look at Lewis in Australia. He was very uncomfortable. He was miserable in that car. Louis does not want to grieve, then people think he is not fast enough. Lewis still very fast, but the problem is that he is not happy in the car.
“This is the place where Ferrari needs to go, help him in everything he needs and focus. At the end of the day, Lewis was with teams winning tournaments. He knows what the card needs to win the championships. So Ferrari needs to listen to Lewis and make the car better for what Lewis wants.”
