Coco Gauff produced an amazing offer to crush an open French champion four times Ig Swatek 6-1 6-1 and up to the Madrid Open Championship final.
Jouf, 21, did not defeat her Polish opponent on clay before, but it took only 64 minutes to send the world's second number.
American Gauff will play the first rank Arena Sapalinka or Elya Svetolina in the final.
The ruling champion, Swimik, won nine consecutive matches in Madrid – and 15 of 16 returning to her loss to Sabalinka in the 2023 final – but she had no answer to Jouf.
Jouf, which won the United States Open in 2023, reached seven overwhelming and won 19 points from 21 points in her first service in a dominant performance.
“I was aggressive and played with a margin. Maybe her best level,” Jouf said in an interview with her on the field.
“I felt satisfied here on the field today, different from my first match here in the first round.
“I think the previous times we played on clay do not think I have a victory against it yet.
“It is clear that she is on clay, she is a different player, but Clay is one of my best surfaces as well, and I thought that if I can overcome it hard, I can overcome the clay.”
