The company announced on Thursday that Sam Zimmerman has been promoted to the first vice president of programming and acquisition in Shudder, a broadcasting service that focuses on terror for AMC networks.
Recently, Zimmerman, who personally participates in every aspect of concussion, is working, including the detailed arrangement of banners content. To move forward, it will continue to lead programming for Shudder because it represents the anniversary of the annual 10 years. Its headquarters is located in New York, and will continue to work alongside SVP of acquisitions and production, Emily Goto, and submit a report to Scott Shoman, head of the AMC Networks Film Group, which includes IFC, RLJE Films and Shudder's Film Division.
“It is very appropriate, as we celebrate ten years of trembling, so we also celebrate the amazing contributions of Sam Zimmerman in service and the type of terror,” said Shoman. “His expert artistic approach and his passion for bringing the attractive and unexpected fans, whether from a new, emerging or classic voice, make it completely appropriate to maintain fear for the SHUDDer members.”
During his time in SHUDDer, Zimmerman worked with witnessed film makers including Issa Lopez, Chloano, Flying Lotus, Jayro Bustamante, Coralie Fargeat, Josh Ruben, David Bruckner, Demian Rugna, Jennifer Reeder, among others. It is also known for managing the “Halloween Hotline” line, and provides subscribers with the recommendations of personal films every October, as well as hosting and draining “Shudder” exhibitions at the IFC Center Theater.
Zimmerman said: “Since the first day, the task in Shudder has been the widening and depth of terror, and to communicate with fans and the audience for provocative and frightening work of famous professors and pioneering new voices,” Zimmerman said. “It is really exciting to continue to lead this amazing service at a time when horror is the fastest growing type of entertainment, and more widespread and embraced on a large scale than ever.
