Nearly 20 years have passed since the first Magic Weekend event in 2007 at CardFf's Millennium, and it has been an essential element in the Premier League calendar since then.
But now the event settled on Newcastle as the most logical and loved at home, can this game inspire it from its heart?
Wigan Hoker Cruise Liming believes it.
“I am everything that fills the stadiums and gets a load of fans,” Liming told BBC Sport.
“Our sport is unique in this aspect so that you can get all different collections of fans with no problem. It is a family event.
“We have seen what happened in Figas [with March’s rugby league festival which included a Super League game between Wigan and Warrington] How much success was.
“To get it [Magic Weekend] In Newcastle, it is a great and wonderful place for the rugby league.
“The more teams we can have in different regions of England, the better. There is a team in Newcastle that fills this stadium every week, it will be a dream.”
So, what does the event mean for a relatively new person on the magic weekend?
Hall Volt Hermann Isis believes that a stadium with St. James Park is worthy of the event.
“I am a big fan,” BBC Sport told BBC Sport.
“My first idea was the size of the stadium compared to some that we play during the season.
“It is an exciting thing for all the teams to come here and spend time together and play in a cute stadium.”
