The late cousin of the Queen, Mary Dujir, died at the age of 92 – where she praises her family with a “wonderful role model”.
Mary Dujir, Contess Sterrammore, died at her home in Millempic, on the Scottish border, on Monday, confirmed her family.

She was previously staying at Glamis Castle, Angus – where she enjoyed several visits from Queen Elizabeth before her death in 2022.
In a heart statement, the Marie family described how it was evident in the local community to turn the castle into a prosperous tourist attraction.
Control recently received a touching message from a fan who praises her for her work, according to the family.
He said: “Talking about the best I would like to give you what a wonderful model and personal heads I was for Glamis over the years.
“Your dedication to Glamis, and your love, may shine at every level.
“You are a very popular and important figure in the history of Glamis, not only for employees but for the broader society.”
Mary was born to Brigadier Norman McCorcodal and his wife Barbara, on May 31, 1932.
In 1939, the family moved from Edinburgh to Buckinghamshire – where they lived in the Winslo Hall, which was later seized by the British Royal Air Force.
Mary went to study home science in Oxford, before moving to London.
She met her husband, soldier Fergus Boyce LyonIn 1955 – with the husband linking the knot in the following year.
The wedding was attended by Queen Elizabeth, the queen Mother, Princess Margaret.
The statement added that Mary and Fergus “lived in the White House, Ghulaes, for some of their early marital life, and continued to visit repeatedly from East Luthan, where they lived while Fergus was a broker in Edinburgh.”
Seventeen years in marriageThey moved to Glamis Castle – the birthplace of Princess Margaret – which Mary was turning into one of the largest tourist attractions in Scotland the next 60 years strange.
The likes of Margaret Tscher, John Megur and King Charles – as well as the wives of world leaders were hosted during the GLENEAGLES summit.
“Fergus Ghimis inherited and became the seventeenth Earl Strathmore in 1972,” the statement said.
“After making some adjustments to make the special side of the castle suitable for a young family, they moved in 1975 and threw themselves in life and in the broader Angus society.”
Fergus died tragically in 1987 after he collapsed while he was shooting at the land of the castle.
In addition to her community work – which included a campaign to save the local post office – Mary was also praised due to many of its charitable exploits.
Over the years, I have worked with organizations in the multiple sclerosis society, anxiety, relief from cancer, daytime care for the elderly, the charitable nursing box, the Humuit Orthopedic Association, and the confidence of psychotherapy for children.
Mary leaves two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Liming and Mrs. Diana Jodfrey Fausite, and 11 grandsons.
