The number of the epic that no one has requested – at least temporarily – has ended.
Abdul -Carter does not take a number of the giants' honor ring. Instead, he will wear number 51 in the Rookie camp, taking numbers wearing by Azeez Ojulari, Kyler Fackrell and Zak Deossie in recent years.
Although this does not necessarily mean that Carter 51 wears during the season, given that the numbers of the rising camps are subject to change, it certainly appears to be an indication that he took the hint in terms of requesting the legends of the giants to cancel their numbers for him.
Selection request No. 3 for the first time wearing No. 56, which has not been worn by any giant since Lawrence Taylor.
After Taylor publicly rejected him, Phil Sims No. 11 was offered. However, Sims was voted by his family.
“I know he likes to wear this number, but hey, I think he is retired,” Taylor told exclusively that Steve Serby in the Post is on Carter 56.
The giants brought the first place in the retirement last season when Ibn Rai allowed Duhairi to Malik Nabeers to wear the number.
It has opened a door that the giants may have closed, as Carter took general criticism about the situation.
