While Bayern Munich was celebrating the German league title recently, the former defender of England received a somewhat unexpected video call.
“It was Vincent Kompany,” said Kyle Walker.
“It is clear that me and me are still truly friends of Hamiman and do you have me once a month. He directed me after winning.”
The current Bayern Munich president was, of course, a Walker teammate in Manchester City.
Among those who also celebrated Harry Kane, who also played alongside Walker for both England and Tottenham.
Walker added, “Harry was there with a pint of beer in his hand, which I was very impressed,” Walker added.
“It may be a weight from his shoulders,” Walker said.
“To go there last season and not win it, and beaten by the Leverkusen team, which was very good, it may have been a teeth kick for him.
“He went to the European Championship finals and was forced to walk across the cup. He played in the cup finals, and played against me. We played in a couple in Tottenham and in the semi -finals.
“For him to finally get a cup, I think it is definitely more than worthy. At least no one can start saying this anymore, that Harry Kane has no cup.
“I have now got a cup and that's all. He was put in bed.”
