My mother, Sharon, was on her way to her cleaning job during what should have been an exciting time. After 30 years together, she and her partner, Martin, were preparing to tie the knot, and she was looking forward to the big day.

Unfortunately, her entire life turned upside down in a moment after hitting Calokan. BBC News reports how Sharon monitored the stolen truck while crossing Al -Souk Street, and the next thing she knew was “in the air” after “White's Vision”.

Sharon, 46, was transferred to the Queens Medical Center in Nottingham with a broken foot, five broken ribs and backward spleen. It also has a large hole in the back of its left leg, which has become “very infected”.

His survivor colleague Wayne was strongly affected by the district. The 61 -year -old was on his way to his job as a forkline driver in the center of Nottingham when Calokan deviated and went directly to the back of him.

The effect was catastrophic. Wayne suffered from sophisticated brain injuries and physical injuries and spent more than six weeks healing in the hospital. He is now struggling to remember any aspect of his life before the attack, and he had to re -learn a number of life skills, including reading, cleaning his teeth, and using table tools.

The influence on his memory was so deep that Avid Leeds United Fan Wayne did not even recognize the honor of a tattoo for the club that had fallen on his arm, and he had to ask family members about what he meant.

Wayne, who is interested in partner Trisi, suffers from persistent pain in his legs, back and head, and also fights to deal with the problems of his memory.

BBC News told me: “Trissi tells me by saying this, but I was going to exchange my life for one of these poor students, undoubtedly,” BBC News told me. [in the court case]. What happened to me was nothing compared to that. “
