Jimmie Johnson is trying to make it as an actor on the Fox NFL Sunday show.
During the Wild Card Round pre-show, Johnson cut a promotion for a new movie that his hosts loved.
Fox NFL Sunday promoted the new movie Love Hurts, and Johnson used some acting chops alongside one of the actors in the film.
“I know a lot about winning in the playoffs, so those are my keys to winning,” Johnson said.
“Never underestimate the underdog. The playoffs are about defying the odds, and that's what a great underdog does.”
“Sacrifice, it's the postseason, you gotta go into beast mode! You gotta love the game so much it hurts.”
After he cut his promo, actor Ke Huy Quan joined him to continue the promo.
“You wanted the keys? I've got Ke,” he said.
“Can you throw?” Johnson replied.
“I can throw, I can kick, I can do it all, Coach!” Quan said.
Fox NFL Sunday members loved Johnson's acting job and gave him props on live air.
“Hey, look at our man Jimmie Johnson, an action star now!” Curt Minifie said.
“I see the Oscars are coming!” Johnson replied.
Johnson's acting job was just the beginning of a wild episode of Fox NFL Sunday.
During halftime of the show, Terry Bradshaw decided to show off a little and do some dance moves.
When the show opened, the 1970s Nazareth song “Love Hurts” played over the intro.
Bradshaw was seen dancing to the song as the show began.
