Exclusive: ABC was quick to rebroadcast some of its scripted programming after the holiday, and audiences seem to have thanked it for it.
The network's Tuesday drama lineup returned in full force and has delivered some strong ratings in the week since, led by the new student series High potential. While this came in second place in terms of the most watched program on ABC during the night (Will Trent It was No. 1) with 5.7 million live+ same-day viewers, and has now doubled to 12.9 million viewers after seven days of multiplatform viewing, Disney says.

Season 3 premiere Will Trent It served as a great lead-in with 5.9 million viewers tuning in on the same day. After seven days of viewing, this stands at 9.75 million, the most watched television broadcast ever.
According to Disney, the episode set an audience record on the live stream, as it did RisingFirst appearance of season seven.
For every disney, Rising It has 9.16 million viewers after seven days of multi-platform viewing, which is a 170% increase from its same-day live+ audience of 3.4 million. Although that number is down year over year from last season's premiere, the series appears to be performing better than ever among adults ages 18-49.
Broadcast season isn't back in full swing yet, with shows streaming in after the mid-season break, so any programming that hits the airwaves in these first few weeks of the year is sure to benefit from this quieter time where audiences aren't being pulled in all directions for what they must.
