WASHINGTON — Popular weight-loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy have been added to a list of Medicare drugs that will be negotiated directly between the government and drug manufacturers, the Biden administration said Friday.
The incoming Trump administration will negotiate the prices of the additional 15 selected drugs, almost guaranteeing billions of dollars in savings for taxpayers.
Ozempic and Wegovy are manufactured by Novo Nordisk, which is based in Denmark and has its U.S. headquarters in Plainsboro, New Jersey.
