Sideshow and Janus Films have acquired all North American rights to Kiyoshi Kurosawa's latest film clouds.
clouds It debuted at the Venice Film Festival last year before playing at Tokyo and Beyond Fest. Sideshow and Janus Films have the film set for a theatrical release in summer 2025.
Starring Masaaki Suda, the film is a thriller that follows a young man named Yoshi who resells goods online and ends up sparking a series of mysterious events, blurring the boundaries between the online and offline worlds.
The deal was negotiated by Sideshow and Janus Films with Nikkatsu. The producers are Yumi Arakawa, Yuki Nishimiya, and Nobuhiro Iizuka. The film is produced by Nikkatsu and Django Film Corporation.

Kapadia Everything we imagine is like light It was the first Indian film to participate in the Cannes competition in 30 years, where it won the grand prize. It has since won NYFCC, LAFCA, and NSFC Awards for Best International Film. The film was nominated for the same award by the Golden Globe Awards, Independent Spirit Awards, and Critics' Choice Awards. Kapadia also made history as the first Indian director to be nominated for Best Director at the Golden Globe Awards, an award she won from the National Society of Film Critics. She was also nominated for Best Debut Director by the DGA.
