The governor of South Dakota Christie was confirmed as the new Minister of Internal Security for the United States on Saturday with a vote from 59 to 34 in the Senate.
This confirmation was much less dramatic than a vote 51-50 on Friday to confirm the former Fox News host Beit Higseth as Minister of Defense, where Vice Vice President JD VANCE made a tie.
In his capacity as Minister of Internal Security, Naim, 53, will supervise the customs and protection of the American border, the United States' secret service, and the enforcement of American migration and customs among many other entities.
“Christie was very strong in border security,” Trump said when he announced it as his choice in November. “You will work closely with the” Tsar Borders “Tom Human to secure the borders, and will ensure that our American homeland is safe from our opponents.”
ICE has already started carrying out deportations, including raids that recorded a member of the Haiti gang, which was transported away “F -K Trump, Biden Forever!”
“Reforming this crisis and restoring respect for the rule of law is one of the priorities of President Trump and the Supreme Republicans,” said Sin John Thun, a fellow of South Dakota, and the leader of the new majority of the Senate. “This will require a decisive and committed leader in the Ministry of Internal Security. I think Christie has everything necessary to do this task.”
During the confirmation session, Naim-which was considered at one time considered a potential vice president of Trump-border security as a “maximum priority”, stressed the need for a “fair and legitimate immigration system” and pledged to grant border border agents the resources necessary to carry out their work.
She promised to restore Trump's stay in Mexico's policy, and closing the Cuban, Haytiete, Nicaroa, and Venezuele, who said immigrants were given a free trip to the United States, with the permission of Uncle Sam.
“There are many of these programs that must be canceled, and we need to make sure that we are following legal immigration laws.”
A widespread sleep was seen as one of the easiest cabinet candidates. Senate Marco Rubio as Minister of State also confirmed earlier this week.
It is also expected to vote on Scott Bessin, Trump's candidate for the Treasury Secretary, on Saturday.
The Senate's hearing is scheduled for Toulcy Gabbard, the upcoming director of National Intelligence, on January 30, while hearings to nominate Robert F. Kennedy Junior to be the Minister of Health and Humans as well.
