EXCLUSIVE: UK-based VFX and animation company Jellyfish Pictures has hired industry vets Brodie McNeill and Lara Osland to lead their expansion in Canada.
McNeill joins as Senior VFX Supervisor and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of creative supervision across Toronto-based projects. His 20-year career includes credits such as Palm Royale, Titans, The Gilded Age, Guillermo Del Toro’s The Shape of Water, and the Tim Burton series Wednesday, for which he was Emmy-nominated. He also previously spent time working for Powerhouse VFX, Folks, and Mr. X.
Osland joins as Executive Producer following stints at Rodeo, Spin, and Rocket Science. In the new rule, she will be responsible for managing all Jellyfish Pictures’ VFX projects in Toronto as well as oversight of business operations in the region. Osland has over 25 years of experience across VFX, Animation, and publishing. Her previous credits include Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon film series for Netflix, Marvel’s Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the Halo series.

Jellyfish Pictures’ recent VFX credits include critically acclaimed feature films The Creator and Asteroid City, television projects The Gentlemen and Constellation, and the Oscar-winning live-action short, The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar. Upcoming 2024 projects include Ellen Kuras’ Lee, starring Kate Winslet, Netflix’s Kaos, and the fantasy adventure series Nautilus.
