It has been 11 years since Jones recently participated on the international stage, as it was a controversial end of the playing profession.
Gateland Jones brought only 30 minutes against South Africa and the last international.
Jones was not happy at the time and also wrote about the experience later on his autobiography. He insists that any issues have now become something of the past.
Jones said, “We have accepted and designed,” Jones said.
“It has become a little twisted when I finished. Anyone who finished his career will feel upset. What (Gatand) did for me as a huge player and worked with him a decade ago.
“I hadn't got 95 of the Wales covers, won Grand Slams or went in Lions if he did not come at that time and pushed me in the right direction.
“He had a certain way to do things and made me to this level and I was always grateful for that, so I am happy to work in his favor because he had such a tremendous impact on my career.”
Gatend was severely pressured after she was confident in the six countries despite the supervision of the worst loss in Wales.
“For someone who was about the bloc as long as he has, he is calm and knows what he wants,” Jones said.
“What is good, when I was a player, was that narration that is back away from the wall.
“GATS is great in the mentality of the weak and gathered a team together quickly in a short period of time and gets out of it. It is exceptional in that and I invite him to pull it.”
