Steve Smith has passed Australia for 10,000 in the Cricket game during the first day of his team's opening match in Sri Lanka.

The 35 -year -old went to the first test of the match series on 9,999 running, and as a captain in the absence of Bat Kamins, he chose the bats after winning Erm.
