Steve Downing said in a statement on Thursday that Aden Manzano, a sports correspondent covering the tribal heads, died on Wednesday while appointing Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans at TENEMUNDO Kansas City and Tico Sports.

There was no cause for death immediately, and Downing said in his statement that the network “is cooperating with the application of the law during the investigation of this tragic event.”

“As a broadcaster and sports correspondent at KGKC, Adan was a real professional and a rising star, who was embodying excellence in his work,” Dowing continued in his statement. “We will miss the depth and passion for sports, and the contributions he made to the local community. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences come out to his family and our loved ones during this difficult time.”

Manzano was 27 years old, according to ABC Kmbc in Kansas City.

Manzano has been working in KGKC since April 2021, according to his LinkedIn page, and after Mexico City's citizen moved to Tobika, he was, in 2018, he graduated from Kansas, according to the KSNT story from 2024.

“I used to dream about this, but I never expected that soon,” Manzano told The Outlet before Super Bowl 2024. “It is just a blessing.”

At the end of x post, Manzano hung a Mahries image with a large group of correspondents who gathered around his table at Super Bowl Night with the line, “Mahries Vs El Mondo” – which translates into “Maahomes Vs. The World”.

He also published a photo on Sunday 2025 and expressed its gratitude to be able to cover the event for the third time with their leaders for three peaches.

After months of Super Bowl last year, Manzano's wife, Ashley Boyd, was killed in a car accident after the midfielder crossed and hit his car, according to KSNT.

Boid worked as a teacher at the Loman Hill Elementary School in Tobika, and KSNT was told before Super Bowl 2024 that Manzano “worked hard in this.”

“There were times when two or three jobs were to meet their needs,” Boyd said at the time. “Now knowing that he goes out there and does what he loves and what is good, he's the best feelings ever.”
