Josie recalls that his mother tells him, “Don't be ridiculous!” When he expressed his fear of swimming. While they swam beyond the lease boat, Rivera noticed that he was drifting away and tried to return to him with Josie. The young boy remembers sticking to something to help maneuver around the boat, but he was unable to save his mother.

Dorshi revealed that Josie remembers his mother, whose name is called before she went underwater and disappeared from view. The boy also mentioned that he was very afraid to use a rope with the raft of life because there was a spider on it – details that still chase him, because he felt he could have saved it.

The accident resulted in an illegal death lawsuit against Vinterora Province, which settled in 2022 in favor of Josie. Dorshi expressed his regret that he was not present during those decisive moments and wondering what might happen if he was present.

Rivera's death had a deep impact on both Dorsi and their son. Despite the difficulties they face without them, they seek to honor their memory and support each other during this difficult time.
