As 19 news reported, Jenny Robinson, a member of the Huntville City Council, revealed that the population throughout the city feels strongly the loud noise provided by car drivers in certain parts of the city.
But addressing the problem has proven difficult, as the city's police chief Chris Riley told her that implementation under the state law was a challenge.
Robinson said: “He said it was a repair ticket.”

But now, with an auxiliary from the city's legal team, Robinson and Riley created a decree that will help the local authorities apply the law more comprehensively.
Starting on March 1, drivers who are pulled for excessive car noise will be hit with a fine of $ 50.
What's more, a second crime will be seen in 12 months a fine to $ 250.
A third violation during a 12 -month period will lead to a fine of $ 500 or 10 days in or both prison.
“We have put some fines and penalties that will encourage change in behavior and discourage people from just going and re -modifying,” Robinson said.
Sergeant Chris Jackson with the Huntsville Police Department believes this will help officers to fight loud vehicles.
He added: “Now that she has teeth for her and now that she has been applied in situations where the state law cannot be, you will now have this way as the officers impose it frequently.”
