Daril Hall and John OTS's music partnership resulted in some of the most permanent pop songs – but their chances of collaborating again between scratch and zero.
The husband has strikes for their name, including Maneaterand I can't go for that (I can't do) and Outside of touchBut their partnership struck a dilemma in 2023 when Otz began selling his share in their publishing company, and filed a lawsuit to prevent him, describing the OTS move to “betray the final partnership.”
Now, in an interview with Times of LondonHall was asked about the possibility of OTS, or did that ship sailed? He answered:

“That ship went to the bottom of the ocean,” says Hall. “I had a lot of surprises in my life, disappointment, and betrayal, so I am used to it.” He added: “I have participated in some of the mashed characters over the years. This is where the problems begin.”
The couple met as students and separated as a worthy performance in the early 1970s. They continued to sell 60 million records and earn 16 of the ten best individuals in peak. Among their project contributions, Hall stated: “The songs that carry his voice are the songs that he wrote, and all other songs, which are about 90 percent, are the songs that I wrote.”
A hall reflected in The Times An interview that he never surrendered to drug temptations on the road at the height of their success – “they never agreed with me” – but for everything else? “Just watch The spinal tap.“
