We return to this term from time to time. Bat Riley's ideas were when he was a Nix coach, and he had enough free time to land in the best -selling book lists with a book of self -help entitled “The Winner inside”.
The term concerned is “The Innocent Climb”, and if I have a nickel for every 1994 coach to date who used this phrase … well, I have a lot of nickel.
In essence, innocent climbing refers to a team of non -selfish team members, without any prior success, begins a journey to greatness. “When the team devotes itself to a non -selfish act, confidence in each other, and combines instinct and boldness, he is ready to achieve something amazing,” Riley wrote.
